THE GAME
Saturday’s game will be the first meeting between UCF and Austin Peay … The game was added to the 2017 schedule after UCF was left without a scheduled game against Georgia Tech in the wake of Hurricane Irma … Saturday’s game will be the third meeting between the schools, which split a home-and-home series in 1983 and 1984.

Austin Peay has been one of the better stories of the 2017 college football season … The Governors entered the season with a 27-game losing streak, and saw that streak extended to 29 games after losses to Cincinnati and Miami (Ohio) in the first two weeks … But the Governors have won five of their last six games since then, including a 34-14 victory against No. 18 (FCS) Tennessee-Martin … The lone setback in the last six games was a 34-14 loss to No. 4 Jacksonville State … QB Jeremiah Oatsvall and QB JaVaughn Craig have split the snaps behind center … Each has thrown for three touchdowns with three interceptions, while Craig has a team-high six rushing touchdowns … RB Kentel Williams has rushed for a team-high 583 yards … DE Jaison Wiliams has a team-high 8.5 sacks (second in FCS) and 10.5 tackles for loss.
