PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The American Athletic Conference announced its swimming and diving weekly honors for the week ending Oct. 29.
Male Swimmer of the Week
Jonathan Gomez * SR. * SMU
Gomez produced three individual wins and contributed in a relay victory in SMU’s win against TCU. The senior began the meet with a first-place time of 1:51.60 in the 200 fly. Gomez followed that up by defeating the field in the 500 free with a time of 4:38.67 and placing first in the 200 IM (1:53.80). In the 200 medley relay, the Colombia native swam the fly in 22.39 as the Mustangs took home first place with a time of 1:32.54.
Male Diver of the Week
Bryce Klein * R-Sr. * SMU
Klein put together a pair of NCAA Zone qualifying scores at TCU this past week. The product of South Lake, Texas, finished with scores of 312.15 in the 1-meter and 365.99 in the 3-meter en route to a sweep of the diving events.
