PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Five American Athletic Conference softball teams earned Easton/NFCA Academic Team honors for their respective NCAA Division I team GPA’s including Houston, Memphis, UConn, Wichita State and UCF.
The rankings recognize the academic prowess of softball teams across seven membership divisions for the 2016-17 school year. The Coogs posted a team cumulative GPA of 3.534 for the academic year, which ranked 14
th in NCAA Division I. Western Carolina topped the list for Division I with a team GPA of 3.673.
