PROVIDENCE, R.I. - USF senior Claudio Correa was named the American Men's Golf Player of the Month for October, the league announced on Wednesday.
Correa turned in a pair of Top 10 finishes in October. He posted four under-par rounds and was the runner-up at the Quail Valley Collegiate, an event that featured two conference opponents and Top 50 programs Louisville and Notre Dame. Correa was 13-under 203 (68-69-66) at the Quail Valley Golf Club and helped the Bulls set numerous school records in their 19-shot win (44-under 820). Earlier in the month, Correa tied for sixth (1-over 217: 71-73-73) in the 87-player field at the Marquette Intercollegiate Oct. 1-3.
