> American Athletic Conference volleyball teams will conclude the 2017 regular season action this week with home-and-away series against their respective travel partners.
 
> Wichita State²⁰ (26-3, 18-0 American Athletic Conference) clinched its first American Athletic Conference title last Sunday in a win over SMU and will make its 11th trip to the NCAA tournament. The Shockers have won 18 straight matches, sweeping seven opponents in a row. Wichita State has spent 11 weeks in the AVCA national poll behind a strong offense. The Shockers are atop The American in kills (15.19), assists (14.24) and blocks (2.67) per set, while hitting a conference-high .334. Wichita State has held its conference foes to hitting a league-low .126 and will take on Memphis twice this week.
 
> UCF (17-3, 10-8 American Athletic Conference) joins the Shockers on a winning streak with four consecutive victories. The Knights have hit a .308 during this span and earned the latest Offense Player of the Week honor after freshman Kristina Fisher reached double-figure kills in two matches last week with a .389 hitting percentage. UCF will host USF tomorrow night to start the War on I-4 rivalry series, with the match being featured on The American Digital Network. The Knights will continue its home-and-away series against the Bulls on Saturday night to play their final 2017 regular season match in Tampa. USF leads the all-time series, 49-33, but UCF has come out on top in the last eight matches.
 
> With 11-7 conference records, ECU and Cincinnati are tied for fourth place and will look to break the lock this when the teams meet for the first time this season. The Pirates recorded their 20th win for the first time in 12 seasons last week in a five-set triumph over Houston.  The Bearcats lead the all-time series against the Pirates 11-1 and are coming off a 2-0 weekend. Cincinnati is led by Carly Nolan, who has the third-most points (4.62) and kills (4.08) per set in the league. ECU senior middle hitter Natalie Montini is hitting .345, which is the third-best hitting percentage in the conference.
 
> SMU (14-4 American Athletic Conference) is one game ahead of Temple (13-5 American Athletic Conference) in second place. The Mustangs will travel to Tulsa tomorrow afternoon before hosting the Golden Hurricane on Friday. Temple is set to face UConn twice, as the Owls lead the all-time series against the Huskies, 9-4.  The Mustangs are ahead of Tulsa, 24-17 in their series with the Golden Hurricane. Both Temple and SMU have won seven of their last 10 contests to enter the final week of American play.
