Temple routed South Carolina in the Under Armour Reunion at Madison Square Garden, while ECU collected a win in Michael Perry’s first game as the Pirates’ interim head coach on Thursday night.
Temple 76, South Carolina 60
NEW YORK (AP) -- Quinton Rose scored a season-high 24 points to lead Temple to a 76-60 rout of South Carolina on Thursday night in the second game of the Under Armour Reunion at Madison Square Garden.
Damion Moore finished with 20 points and 10 rebounds, and Obi Enechionyia added 15 points for Temple, which improved to 4-1 with its fourth win in its last five games.
South Carolina dropped to 5-2. The game was South Carolina's first at Madison Square Garden since Sweet 16 and Elite Eight wins over Baylor and Florida, respectively, last March.
David Beatty led the Gamecocks with 13 points. Maik Kotsar scored 12 and Justin Minaya tallied 11.
Leading 38-27 at the start of the second half, Temple outscored the Gamecocks 16-12 in the first 8:20 to extend its lead 54-39. The Owls started the second half with two Enechionyia dunks and a jumper, a Moore jam and jumper, and eight points from Rose.
The lead grew to 60-41 after Moore's putback and layup on consecutive possessions. Following the layup with 9:39 left, Gamecocks coach Frank Martin called time out. It did not matter as Temple pushed its lead to 23, 66-43, after Rose's lay-in at 6:27.
ECU 93, UNCW 88 (ot)
GREENVILLE, N.C. (AP) -- B.J. Tyson scored nine of his career-high 30 points in overtime and Isaac Fleming finished with 21 points to help ECU beat UNC Wilmington 93-88 on Thursday night.
Freshman Shawn Williams had 15 points, Dimitri Spasojevic added 10 and Jabari Craig grabbed a career-high 14 rebounds for ECU.
Fleming made back-to-back layups before Tyson hit two free throws to give the Pirates (3-4) an 88-83 lead with 2:15 left. Devontae Cacok answered with a layup 13 seconds later, but Tyson weaved through the lane before kissing a left-handed scoop high off the glass and Williams hit 1 of 2 free throws to make it 91-85 with 30 seconds remaining and ECU held on from there.
Cacok had a career-high 35 points on 16-of-19 shooting with 12 rebounds -- his fifth double-double of the season -- for UNC Wilmington (2-4). Marcus Bryan scored 10 with 11 boards, both season highs.
The Seahawks opened the game with a 10-0 run and led 74-70 after Bryan's layup with 3:17 left in regulation. Cacok had a dunk and a layup to put UNC Wilmington up by one point, but Tyson's free throws with five seconds left forced overtime.
It was ECU's first game under interim coach Michael Perry, who took over after Jeff Lebo's sudden resignation on Wednesday. Perry served as acting head coach for 14 games last season while Lebo was recovering for hip surgery.

ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) -- Kassius Robertson and Jordan Barnett combined to make 14 of 23 from the field and scored 19 points apiece to help Missouri hold on for a 62-59 win over UCF on Thursday night.
Robertson, a graduate transfer from Canisius, made 7 of 11 from the field, including 5 of 7 from 3-point range. Jeremiah Tilmon had 12 points, seven rebounds and three blocks, including one that preserved a four-point lead with nine seconds remaining.
Robertson hit three 3s and Barnett added four points during a 16-2 run that gave Missouri (6-2) the lead for good, 27-21, and Tilmon's dunk with seven minutes to go made it 52-41. Terrell Allen hit a 3-pointer to pull UCF within two with 37 seconds left, but Barnett hit two free throws and, after Tilmon's block, made one more to give the Tigers a 62-57 lead with nine seconds to go.
A.J. Davis led UCF (4-3) with 14 points and nine rebounds. Tacko Fall added 12 points on 6-of-7 shooting.
Elon 79, USF 78 (ot)
ELON, N.C. (AP) -- Dimitri Thompson scored 23 points, including the go-ahead basket in overtime, and Elon beat South Florida 79-78 on Thursday night.
After six lead changes in overtime, Thompson's jumper with 1:01 left gave Elon a 79-78 lead. South Florida's Terrence Samuel missed a layup, but the Bulls forced a shot-clock violation and got the ball with nine seconds left. Stephan Jiggetts missed a jumper with a second left and Elon got the rebound as time expired.
Tyler Seibring had 15 points with seven rebounds, Steven Santa Ana scored 14, Dainan Swoope had 13 points and Brian Dawkins grabbed a career-high 13 rebounds for the Phoenix (5-3).
Thompson's free throw and 3-pointer put Elon up 34-32 at halftime after three lead changes and two ties. Samuel tied it at 70 with 1:21 left in regulation and Elon didn't get another shot before time expired.
Payton Banks scored 23 points, including a 3 in OT for a 73-72 Bulls lead. Jiggetts scored 21 points, including three 3s, and Samuel had 14 for South Florida (4-4).
UAB 71, Memphis 56
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) -- Chris Cokley had 18 points and 10 rebounds, and UAB snapped a 16-game losing streak against Memphis with a 71-56 victory on Thursday night.
UAB (5-3) is 5-0 at home, and had its last win against Memphis (3-2) in 2006.
Cokley was 7 of 10 from the floor. Nate Darling finished with 14 points and Jalen Perry chipped in 10 for the Blazers.
Jeremiah Martin scored 18 points to lead Memphis (3-2), which had its three-game winning streak snapped. Kyvon Davenport added 14 points. Martin and Davenport made three 3-pointers apiece, but the Tigers were just 8-of-22 shooting from long range.
The Blazers opened the game on a 22-6 run and had a 19-point lead at halftime. Cokley had 13 points and eight rebounds in the first half. The Tigers pulled to 62-50 with 6:29 remaining but didn't get closer.
Memphis leads the series 37-11.
