PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of the league’s weekly women’s basketball honors for the week ending Sunday, Dec. 10.

Sophomore guard Crystal Dangerfield scored 18 points, all coming on a career high-tying six 3-point field goals, to go along with nine assists in UConn’s win at RV/RV DePaul last Thursday. Dangerfield was 6-of-7 from beyond the arc and added three rebounds and one steal against the Blue Demons. The sophomore is second in The American in assists per game, 3-point field goal percentage and assist-turnover ratio.

Freshman Mia Davis averaged 10.0 points, 11.5 rebounds, and 3.5 assists per game in a 1-1 week for the Owls. On Thursday, she tallied seven points with game-highs of 14 rebounds and five assists in a comeback win over Hampton. On Sunday, Davis scored 13 points with nine boards, as Temple fell just short against No. 20/22 Villanova.
