– The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of the league’s weekly softball honors for the week ending Sunday, Feb. 19.
AMERICAN ATHLETIC CONFERENCE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Lauren Evans • Jr. • 3B/SS • USF
Evans led USF at the plate with a .500 average and at least one hit in every game. The junior played both third and shortstop and recorded three multi-hit games over the five-game stretch against RV Oklahoma State and No. 14 James Madison, among others. She finished with eight total bases and four runs. Her .529 on-base percentage also led the team.
AMERICAN ATHLETIC CONFERENCE PITCHER OF THE WEEK
Lydia Ritchie • Sr. • P • East Carolina
Ritchie compiled a 2-1 record and 1.07 earned run average over three appearances in 19.2 innings pitched. East Carolina went 4-1 in its home tournament including a win over Fordham .The senior surrendered just three earned runs and recorded 10 strikeouts. Ritchie tossed two complete games, including a victory over the Rams, who are receiving votes in the USA Today/NFCA Top 25 poll.

Team-best seven hits this weekend in Chattanooga Challenge, hitting .500 (7-14). Hit a home run and had seven RBIs. Went 5-for-7 with five RBIs in Sunday's DH sweep of IUPUI.
Ciara Ervin • Sr. • OF • East Carolina
Hit .429 and reached base safely in all five games of the Pirate Clash. Ervin went 3-for-4 with a run scored and two RBIs in a 9-5 win over Bryant.
Trystan Melancon • Fr. • P• Houston
Three complete games, 2-1 record and picked up first career win in a no-hitter against Rhode Island. Tossed eight innings, surrendering two runs (one earned) in an international tie breaker decision to No. 4/6 Oklahoma.
Regan Hadley • So. • C • Memphis
The sophomore went 2-for-4 with her first home run of the year, three RBIs, and a .600 on base percentage.
Emily Watson • Jr. • P • Tulsa
Went 2-0 over the weekend with a 1.54 ERA and surrendered three earned runs in 13.2 innings of work against Toledo and Syracuse.
