Highlights
- UCF stayed undefeated with a 3-2 win over North Florida. The Knights took the lead on a sacrifice fly by Ryan Crile to break a 2-2 tie in the bottom of the seventh. Eli Putnam went 3-for-4 on the day for UCF while Kyle Marsh and Rylan Thomas each added RBIs.
- USF rallied with a four-run top of the ninth to take down No. 2 Florida State in Tallahassee. Tyler Dietrich’s sacrifice fly brought home the go-ahead run in the ninth and David Villar had two of the four USF hits with a RBI of his own. More impressive was the pitching staff for the Bulls who combined to one-hit the Seminoles as three freshmen (Noah Yager, Carson Ragsdale and Collin Sullivan) threw four perfect innings. The Bulls beat Florida State for the first time since 1989.
- Houston suffered its first loss of the season to Houston Baptist, 3-2. Catcher Colton Wong went 2-for-5 at the plate for the Cougars, scoring a run, driving in a run and stealing three bases.
- Tulane lost its third-straight game, this one at Southeastern Louisiana by a score of 8-5 despite hitting four home runs. Hunter Williams had two solo home runs, Jake Willsey had a two-run shot and Hunter Hope added a solo home run of his own.
