PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Houston sophomore Leonie Harm was named the American Women's Golf Player of the Week on Wednesday after winning the Texas State Invitational and posting a Top 10 finish at the Allstate Sugar Bowl Intercollegiate.
Harm was first in a field of 96 at the Texas State Invitational after carding a five-over 218. It was the first title of her collegiate career and she became the fourth different Cougar to earn medalist honors with the win. Harm posted her second Top 10 finish in an eight-day stretch at the Allstate Sugar Bowl Intercollegiate on Feb. 19-20. She led Houston with a 1-over 217, tied for 10th individually, and helped the Cougars tie for ninth in a field that featured nine of the nation’s Top 50 programs.

UCF
• Senior Ashley Holder led UCF to a Top 10 finish at the Allstate Sugar Bowl Intercollegiate after carding a 2-under 214 (71-69-74)…Holder tied for fifth at the event.
• UCF will next compete at the Lady Gator Invitational on March 11-12.
Cincinnati
• Christina Gloor and Valentina Herrera each posted Top 25 finishes at the Amelia Island Collegiate on Feb. 20-21…The Bearcats finished tied for fifth as a team.
• Cincinnati returns to action Mar. 13-14 at the Fresno State Classic in Fresno, Calif.
Houston
• Houston opened their spring campaign with a Top 10 finish at the Allstate Sugar Bowl Intercollegiate in New Orleans…Four Cougars competed at the Texas State Invitational, including top medalist Leonie Harm.
• Houston will host their first tournament in program history on Feb. 27-28 when they compete at The Dickson in The Woodlands, Texas.
Memphis
• Redshirt sophomore Michaela Fletcher posted a runner-up finish (216: 74-74-68) at the 2017 Central District on Feb. 20-21…The Tigers finished second as a team at the event behind No. 7 Furman.
• Memphis next competes at the North Florida Collegiate on Mar. 6-7.
USF
• Nicole Autrique carded the best round of her senior campaign to help USF post its best 54-hole score of the season at the Florida State Match-Up on Feb. 10-12…The Bulls finished seventh overall as a team at the event.
• USF returns to the links Feb. 27 at the Hurricane Invitational in Miami.
Tulane
• Senior Laura Munoz posted her best finish of the season after tying for 10th in a field of 90 at the Allstate Sugar Bowl Collegiate on Feb. 19-20…Redshirt freshman Elise Genoux posted a hole-in-one in the second round of the event.
• Tulane will next travel to The Woodlands, Texas, on Feb. 27-28 for The Dickson.
Tulsa
• Freshman Greta Bruner carded a Top 10 finish at the Amelia Island Collegiate on Feb. 20-21…Bruner posted a 4-over 220 (76-70-74) during the two day event.
• Tulane is back in action on Feb. 27-28, competing at The Dickson in The Woodlands, Texas.
