PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of the league’s weekly softball honors for the week ending Sunday, Feb. 26.
AMERICAN ATHLETIC CONFERENCE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Courtney Rotton • Jr. • IF • UCF
Rotton went 8-for-15 with a double, triple and four RBIs which helped lead the Knights to three wins at the Easton Bama Bash. The junior averaged at least one hit in every game and had a .588 on-base percentage. She tallied three of the Knights five total hits in two games against No.10 Alabama. Her .533 batting average also led the team for the weekend.
AMERICAN ATHLETIC CONFERENCE PITCHER OF THE WEEK
Emily Watson • Jr. • P • Tulsa
Watson became the 10th player at Tulsa with 300 or more career strikeouts. The junior struck out 15 in a 2-1 win over Kansas. Watson surrendered just seven hits and recorded two wins last week. She tossed two complete games and had a 1.37 ERA in 15.1 innings of work.

Hit .385 over the weekend with five hits and two RBI. Went 3-for-4 with two RBI and two runs scored in 6-0 win vs. Florida A&M.
Tate McClellan • R-Fr. • IF • East Carolina
Compiled a .500 batting average with a .583 on base mark and .900 slugging percentage in leading East Carolina to a 3-1 record at its home tournament the Pirate Invitational.
Lydia Ritchie • Sr. • P • East Carolina
Compiled a 3-0 record and 0.50 earned run average over 14.0 innings pitched in three appearances. Tossed two complete games collected two wins over opponents from the ACC.
Arielle James • Fr. • IF • Houston
James went 8-for-14, with one double, four RBIs, and five runs in five games against No.17/17 Utah State and RV/RV Oregon State, among others.
Kristen Wyckoff • Sr. • OF • USF
Wyckoff paced the Bulls for the second time this season, hitting .400 over the weekend (6-for-15) with four runs and eight total bases.
