PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of the league’s final weekly women’s basketball honors for the week ending Monday, Feb. 27.
AMERICAN ATHLETIC CONFERENCE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Napheesa Collier • So. • F • UConn
Collier averaged 29.7 points, 10.3 rebounds and 3.3 blocks per game while shooting 80.4-percent (37-of-46) from the field in a 3-0 week for top ranked UConn. The sophomore started the week with a career-high 31 points on 13-of-14 shooting to go along with 13 rebounds, four assists and three blocks in a win over Temple last Wednesday. The win over the Owls clinched the American regular season title for the Huskies. Collier followed that up with a 19-point, six-rebound, three-block effort in the victory over Memphis on Sunday, and scored a career-high 39 points Monday in the Huskies’ regular season finale at USF.

Jasmyne Harris • Fr. • G • Houston
Harris averaged 13.7 points, 6.3 rebounds and 2.0 assists in three games for the Cougars last week. She scored a career-high 27 points in a win over East Carolina last Saturday, including 14 in the fourth quarter. Harris became just the fifth freshman in school history to score 300 points and pull down 150 rebounds in her rookie season.

Averaged 17.7 points, 4.0 steals and 3.0 assists per game in a 2-1 week for the Owls as Temple clinched the No. 2 seed in the conference championship
