Sterling Brown’s leadership and strong play has boosted SMU into the national AP Poll (25) for the fourth consecutive season. The senior guard was tabbed The American Player of the Week after he averaged 21.0 points, 7.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists in a 2-0 week for the Ponies. Most recently, Brown poured in a career-high 27 points in a win at Tulsa - which was the Mustangs’ 16th win in their last 17 games.
