Highlights
- The Huskies score three runs in the ninth inning to break a 4-4 tie as freshmen Anthony Prate and Conor Moriarty combined for 6 RBIs. Moriarty hit a go-ahead RBI double in the ninth, his second double of the day, to break the tie and give UConn game one against UC Davis.
- Freshman Alec Trela hit a walk-off solo home run for Memphis in game one of its series against Southern Illinois. Trela finished 3-for-3 on the day and had three RBIs.
- Cincinnati got strong pitching from starter Andrew Zellner and reliever David Orndorff in a 2-1 win over No. 25 Tennessee as the two combined to allow only one run on six hits. The Bearcats beat Tennessee for the first time since 1976.
- USF continued its winning ways with an 11-2 victory over Valparaiso for the Bulls 12
th-straight victory. Senior starter Phoenix Sanders was dominant, throwing seven shutout innings, scattering five hits and striking 10. David Villar and Chris Chatfield each had three RBIs for the Bulls.
- UCF scored in every inning of a 21-run outburst against Central Michigan. Freshman Rylan Thomas had a career-night at the plate driving in seven runs while hitting his first and second career home runs. The Knights hit five home runs in total against the Chippewas.
