Houston earned a season-best third-place finish Sunday afternoon at the MountainView Collegiate at MountainView Golf Club.
The Cougars posted a team score of 296 in Sunday's final round and finished the three-day, 54-hole event with a score of 874.
For the third straight day, sophomore Leonie Harm led the Cougars, posting an even-par round of 72 Sunday and finished second at 9-under 207. It was the fourth straight tournament in which Harm led Houston to open the spring season.
Juniors Ivon Reijers and Megan Thothong joined Harm among the top-20 leaders after each shot 74s in the Final Round. Reijers tied for 12th with a score of 220, while Thothong tied for 18th at 221.
Arizona captured the team title at 836, while New Mexico State finished second at 871. UNLV (868) and Oklahoma (879) rounded out the top-five leaders.
Arizona's Wanasa Zhou earned medalist honors with a score of 13-under 203. Teammate Haley Moore and Pun Chanachai of New Mexico State tied for third at 213.
