- Memphis scored all seven runs in the third inning and held on for a 7-5 win over Cincinnati to open conference play. Chris Carrier (2-for-4) capped the inning with a two-run home run and Colton Hathcock picked up his ninth save of the season for the Tigers. Eric Santiago (1-for-3) drove in two runs for the Bearcats.

- Brooks Morgan’s two-run home run in the bottom of the sixth was his third RBI of the day and increased UCF’s lead to three in a 5-2 win over Houston. Jordan Scheftz and Bryce Tucker combined to throw the final three innings in relief for the Knights without allowing a batter to reach base. Joe Davis hit a home run for Houston and Seth Romero (3-3) struck out 14 batters in six innings for the Cougars.

- Tim Cate tied a career-high with 13 strikeouts as the Huskies took down East Carolina in the first game of the conference season. Cate went seven innings and only gave up one unearned run to pick up his second win of the season. Keith Kruger and Willy Yahn had RBIs in the eighth inning to put UConn up for good. Travis Watkins led East Carolina at the plate going 3-for-4 and scoring two runs.

- Tulane erased a 3-0 deficit with five runs in the bottom of the seventh to beat USF 6-4 to open conference play. Six different players had RBIs for the Green Wave and Corey Merrill (3-2) picked up the win, going seven innings, allowing three runs and striking out six. Duke Stunkel (2-for-4) led the Bulls with two RBIs.
