Highlights
- UCF competed in the Sun Angel Classic and the UNF Invite of the weekend and tallied three top-three finishes including a win in the 200m dash by SheKara Martin (23.77) in Tempe. Loren Gallon finished second in the 100m with a time of 12.18 at Arizona State and at North Florida Maddie Bryan finished second in the pole vault with a clearance of 3.55m.
- Cincinnati was at the Tiger Track Classic at Auburn except for Alex Bloom who finished fifth in the Bulldog Heptathlon at Georgia. The Bearcats earned three first-place marks at the Tiger Track Classic. Annette Echikunwoke won the hammer throw with a school record mark of 62.23m. On the men’s side, Maclin Tudor set a Cincinnati and facility record with a 61.74m discus throw and Adrian Valles set a facility record with a 5.50m pole vault.
- The UConn men’s team was at the Hurricane Alumni Invitational and picked up five first-place finishes. In the field events, Kevin Foster won the javelin (65.86m), Malik Snead won the triple jump (15.33m) and Ian Bergere won the pole vault (5.00m). The 4x100 relay team took home gold in a time of 40.29 and Patrick Meyer won the Decathlon with 7,137 points.
- UConn’s women’s team was at the Sam Howell Invitational in Princeton and won three golds over the weekend. Taylor Woods won the long jump with a distance of 5.87m, Ashley Wiggins finished first in the 100m hurdles (13.98) and Taylor Anderson took the top spot in the 100m dash with a time of 11.75.
- East Carolina swept the team titles at the Bill Carson Invitational and earned 10 first-place finishes in the meet as well. On the men’s side, Adam Manns won the discus (54.27m), Nick Ciaccia won the 3,000m steeplechase (9:35.26), Pol Solanellas won the 1,500m (4:00.74) and Stefano Migliorati won the 800m (1:50.64). For the women, Lauren Lubarski won the javelin (47.32m), Adell Remsberg won the pole vault (3.65m), Grace Sullivan won the 3,000m steeplechase (10:45.18), Cheynne Hutchinson won the 100m hurdles (13.49) and Courtney Warner won the 100m (11.71). The men and women also swept the 4x100m relay.
- Houston took home 10 event titles at the Houston Alumni Invitational last weekend. In men’s track events, Raymund Clarke won the 400m (47.55), Amere Lattin won the 110 hurdles (13.73) and the 400 hurdles (51.38), and the Cougars won the 4x100 relay (40.15) and 4x400 relay (3:16.02). In men’s field events, Zachary Oliva won the discus (49.78m) and Damon Thompson won the hammer throw (58.67m). The women took home the 4x100 relay (44.39), Tonyecia Burks won the long jump (6.41m) and Nora Monie won the discus (47.94m)
- Memphis won five events as the team split between the Crimson Tide Invitational and the Spec Towns Invitational over the weekend. Memphis swept the javelin for the fourth meet in a row as Michael Criticos won the men’s event (67.80m) and Ashley Pryke won the women’s (47.99m). Jordan Wesner won the men’s high jump (2.21m) and Nina de Poorter won the women’s discus (47.89m). Julian Sanchez-Pinto was the only gold medal winner in Alabama winning the 3,000m steeplechase with a time of 19:15.45.
- USF won three events at the Houston Alumni Invitational. Bernicia Holifield won the women’s hammer throw (56.65m) and Mira Carrozza won the javelin with a distance of 44.95. David Bell earned the top spot in the pole vault with a clearance of 5.20m.
- SMU split its squad to three events over the weekend and the Mustangs took home two gold medals at the Bobcat Invitational. Latessa Johnson won the women’s 200m with a time of 23.12 and Anna Novosadova won the heptathlon with 4,511 points.
- Temple competed in the Delaware Open and Jimmia McCluskey took home first-place in the long jump with a mark of 5.67m. The Owls also posted four other top-three finishes.
- Tulane was in Houston at the Houston Alumni Invitational and picked up two first-place finishes. Alyssa Applebee won the pole vault with a clearance of 4.00m and Emmanuel Rotich took home the top spot in the 3,000m steeplechase with a time of 8:56.75.
- Tulsa was at the Baylor Invitational and the women brought home two first-place finishes. Alyssa Bolliger won the 3,000m steeplechase in a time of 10:59.76 and Avery Culpepper won the 3,000m in a time of 10:11.66 as the Golden Hurricane took home the top four spots in the women’s 3,000m.
