Bulls Post Wire-to-Wire Win at Hoya Invite

USF captured the first title of the Tiffany Prats era with a 10-shot victory at the Hoya Invitational on Tuesday.

Three Bulls placed in the top-10 with Nicole Autrique leading the way. The senior from Mexico City carded her second consecutive 73 to tie for third place at 6-over, three shots away from individual medalist Alexa Popowitz of Georgetown.

Autrique collected her team-leading third top-10 finish of the season and her fourth top-25 outing.

Junior Maria Rodriguez registered her second top-10 finish of the season, tying for fifth place at 8-over. Ashley Burke put together the first top-10 performance of her senior season, tying for eighth place at 9-over. Freshman Mariale Merchan secured the first top-25 finish of her career by tying for 25th place at 15-over.

This marks USF’s first tournament victory since the Bulls captured the Big East Championship in 2012.
