Seven American Institutions Selected as Future March Madness Hosts



PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Seven American institutions were selected to host NCAA Men’s Basketball First and Second Rounds or Regionals as the NCAA announced selected hosts for the Men’s Basketball Tournament through 2022 Tuesday.

At least one institution from The American will be a host in every year with Wichita State, who will join the conference next year, serving as a host for two First and Second rounds.  Wichita State will host the First and Second Rounds on March 15 & 17, 2018 and March 19 & 21, 2021 at the Intrust Bank Arena.

Tulsa, which hosted the First and Second Rounds in 2017, will host the First and Second Rounds on March 22 & 24, 2019 at the BOK Center and UConn will also host the First and Second Rounds at the XL Center on March 21 & 23, 2019.

In 2020, USF will host the First and Second Rounds at the Amalie Arena on March 19 and 21.

Cincinnati will host the First and Second Rounds for the first time in 30 years in 2022 at the U.S. Bank Arena on March 17 and 19.

Houston and Memphis will both serve as host institutions to Regionals. Houston will host a Regional at the Toyota Center on March 27 & 29, 2020. After hosting the South Regional in 2017, Memphis will host a Regional on March 26 & 28, 2021 at the FedEx Forum.
