PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of the league’s weekly softball honors for the week ending Sunday, April 23.
AMERICAN ATHLETIC CONFERENCE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Julia Hollingsworth • So. • OF • Tulsa
Hollingsworth hit .500 for the week with four runs scored and five runs batted in four games. She slugged 1.400 with a .643 on-base percentage. The sophomore also had two hits and drove in two in a game two win over UConn. She homered in back-to-back games to close out the weekend series and scored a run in all four games for Tulsa.

Emily Watson • Jr. • P • Tulsa
Went 3-0 in the circle with a 0.37 ERA, 31 strikeouts and no walks. Watson struck out double-digit batters in two of three games with 11 in a win over RV/- Oklahoma State and 13 in the game one win over UConn. The junior allowed just one extra base hit over the week, passed Jordan Kinard (2008-11) for fourth all-time on Tulsa's career strikeout list, and moved into a tie for fourth-most career shutouts.

Stanley hit .357 with a pair of multi-hit games, including two against Tulsa. The junior also had a two-RBI single against Fairleigh Dickinson.
Savannah Heebner • So. • P • Houston
Heebner went 2-0 in the circle, with 15 strikeouts, 0.50 ERA, and two walks in the Cougars’ series win over East Carolina.
Maya Thomas • So. • OF • Houston
Thomas went 5-for-11 against East Carolina producing a .455 on-base percentage and identical slugging percentage, helping the Cougars earn the conference series win.
Cheyenne Eggens • So. • P • USF
Eggens was 1-0 with a 0.00 ERA, appearing in three games and starting one on the weekend. She picked up a win and a save, earning the win to clinch the series against Memphis on Saturday.
Kristen Wyckoff • Sr. • 2B • USF
Wyckoff led USF with a .556 average on 5-for-9 hitting with a .889 slugging percentage and .636 on-base percentage in three games. The senior was a perfect 4-for-4 in Friday’s game, finishing a home run shy of completing the cycle.
