USF’s postseason run came to an end Saturday as No. 28 Miami (Fla.) snapped the Bulls’ six-match winning streak in the NCAA Championship first round in Gainesville, Florida. The Bulls, who advanced to the NCAA tournament as the American Athletic Conference champion, dropped the doubles point and fell in each of the top three singles matches in a match that was moved indoors due to rain. USF ends its season with a 15-11 record.

LSU 4, Tulsa 3
No. 40 Tulsa held a 3-0 lead in the team scoring, but No. 21 LSU stormed back to end the Golden Hurricane’s season in Berkeley, California. Tulsa took the doubles point and put the Tigers on the brink of elimination with singles wins by Vera Ploner at No. 6 and Martha Matoula at No. 5. The top three spots on the singles ladder all went to three sets, but LSU claimed all three wins to advance to the second round. Tulsa ends its season at 20-8 overall.
