- Duke Stunkel Jr., went 4-for-6 and was one of three Bulls to drive in two runs as USF opened the Gainesville Regional with a 9-1 win over No. 3 seed Bethune-Cookman. Stunkel and Chris Chatfied both hit home runs for USF. Senior Phoenix Sanders threw seven innings of shutout ball allowing only five hits and striking out seven.

- UCF fell to No. 3 seed Auburn in the first game of the Tallahassee Regional on Friday afternoon. The Knights got home runs from Rylan Thomas and Kam Gellinger but were out-hit 13-6 by the Tigers. UCF plays Florida State Saturday at Noon in an elimination game.

- Houston lost in its regional opener to Iowa, 6-3 on Friday night. Jake Scheiner and Cooper Coldiron each dorve in a run for the Cougars. The loss means Houston plays the No. 2 seed Baylor on Saturday afternoon at 3 p.m. ET/2 p.m. CT in an elimination game.
