UCF split its weekend opening games picking up a loss against South Carolina

Cincinnati
NR/RV opened the regular season with two wins over Buffalo (1-0) and Boston (2-0). Cincinnati ranks first (tied with 53 teams) in the NCAA in goals against average (0.000) and first (tied with 52 teams) in save percentage (1.000).
Freshman Zoe Steck scored her first career goal to even up the match in the 79th minute and help erase a deficit on the road. The UConn
21/RV women’s soccer team hosts its first home match of the 2017 season Friday against Yale.
The East Carolina women’s soccer team won 3-2 in overtime against Dayton. Courtney Cash and Jenna Giest are ranked third in the NCAA for assists per game.
Houston swept their opponents faced in their weekend matches. The Cougars finished 3-0 against Texas Southern and 4-1 against NAU. Houston is No. 13 in the NCAA in total goals, and No. 18 in scoring offense.
Memphis
RV/24 hit the road for their first away match against UAB after being at home for two straight matches. Goalkeeper Rachel Ashworth Shepard is tied for first (among 24 players) in NCAA rankings for shutouts.
The USF women’s soccer team host No. 4/8 North Carolina Sunday afternoon. Sophomore Evelyne Viens leads the NCAA in shots per game and tied for second in shots on goal per game. She is eleventh in the NCAA in goals per game with 1.5. She is third in the nation in points per game (2.5) and ranked 20th in points per game.
SMU
RV/RV earned a clean sheet in its 1-0 (OT) win over top-25 opponent Arkansas and 0-0 (2OT) draw against Oklahoma. Claire Oates scored the lone goal against Arkansas to lift the Mustangs in overtime. The Mustangs host Gonzaga Thursday evening, before traveling to Washington for a 3:30 p.m. ET start Sunday.
Temple travels to Saint Joseph’s Friday then returns home for Sunday’s match against Lehigh.
After going 0-1-1 to start non-conference play, Tulsa returns home to face Kansas Friday night.
