UCF wasted little time in putting its season-opening win against Florida International out of reach as the Knights built a 40-10 halftime lead and limited the Panthers to seven second-half points on their way to a 61-17 victory … The Knights’ game against Georgia Tech was canceled in the wake of Hurricane Irma, while UCF’s game against Memphis was rescheduled to Sept. 30 … UCF scored 40 straight points between the second and third quarters against FIU … QB McKenzie Milton led the way as he completed 16 of 21 passes for 360 yards and four touchdowns with one interception … WR Tre’Quan Smith had two TD catches among his three total receptions, while WR Dredrick Snelson had four receptions for 98 yards … UCF is looking for its first 2-0 start since 2013, when the Knights went 12-1.
