PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Eight American Athletic Conference teams begin league action this weekend.
UCF
14/- has topped two Pac-12 opponents and an ACC foe in the first five contests of the season, and opens American Athletic Conference action this weekend on a four-match win streak.
Cincinnati
-/25 will take on UCF
14/- in a 7 p.m. ET match Thursday, Sept. 21, that will be aired live on the
American Digital Network. Then, on Sunday, the Bearcats will host USF for a Noon ET start at Gettler Stadium.
ECU remains unbeaten at Johnson Stadium this season with a 3-0-2 home slate after its 3-0 shutout over UNC Wilmington, followed by the 1-1 draw vs. Virginia
5/9. The Pirates face USF at home to open league action Thursday.
Houston will open conference play this weekend when it travels to Tulsa, for a Thursday night meeting before heading to Memphis to play the Tigers, Sunday afternoon.
Memphis returns home to begin conference play against SMU and Houston on Thursday and Sunday.
USF will open conference play this week on the road, first facing ECU at Johnson Stadium at 7 p.m. ET on Thursday, Sept. 21.
SMU begins league action with a pair of road contests. The Mustangs open conference play at Memphis Thursday at 8 p.m. ET, before heading to Tulsa on Sunday, Sept. 24. Vanessa Valadez scored the game-winning goal against Big12 foe TCU and had a total of two goals, four assists in last weekend's action.
Tulsa will return to action on Thursday, Sept. 21 against Houston to begin American Athletic Conference play. Head coach Kyle Cussen reached his 200th career win Sudnday in the Golden Hurricane's 3-2 win over Missouri State.
Temple will travel to Central Connecticut State this week as they take on the Blue Devils Saturday, Sept. 23 to close out its non-conference action.
