PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of the league’s weekly men’s basketball honors for the week of Jan. 22-28.
AMERICAN ATHLETIC CONFERENCE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Gary Clark · Sr. · F · Cincinnati · Conway, N.C.
Clark earns his third player of the week – and second straight – accolade of the season after helping No. 9 Cincinnati extend its winning streak to 12 games, matching the fifth—longest streak in conference history. On the week, Clark averaged 17.5 points and 9.5 rebounds, posting his eighth double-double of the year with 17 points and 10 rebounds in the Bearcats’ win over Temple. In the victory, Clark became the fifth player in Cincinnati history with 1,000 points and 1,000 boards in his career.
AMERICAN ATHLETIC CONFERENCE ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Fabian White, Jr. · Fr. · F · Houston · Atascocita, Texas
For the second time this season, White, Jr. collects rookie of the week honors. White, Jr., posted his second double-double of the season, helping lead Houston to a 63-40 win over USF with 16 points and a game-high 11 rebounds. The freshman went 7-of-10 from the floor, the second time in four games he has recorded at least seven field goals.

Davis, Jr., led Houston to a 23-point win in the Cougars lone game of the week, posting a game-high 17 points while knocking down four three-pointers and handing out three assists. Davis, Jr., has now hit a three-pointer in 16 consecutive games.
Stephan Jiggetts · Gr. · G · USF · Forestville, Md.
With a season-high 23 points, Jiggetts lifted USF to its first conference road win in nearly two years, an 80-75 victory at Tulane. On the week, Jiggetts averaged 16.5 points and 4.5 assists per game.
Corey Henderson, Jr. · Sr. · G · Tulsa · Dallas, Texas
Henderson, Jr., exploded for a game-high 28 points in Tulsa’s game at Wichita State, going 7-of-15 from the floor. The effort was the third time this season Henderson, Jr. eclipsed 20 points on the year.
Shaquille Morris · Sr. · F · Wichita State · Edmond, Okla.
Morris averaged 19.5 points and 5.5 rebounds in two victories for No. 17 Wichita State. Going 16-of-22 from the field, Morris posted 20 points against Tulsa after a 19-point effort against UCF. Morris’ two blocks on Sunday lifted him into second place on the Shockers’ career list with 133.

Whitt posted a career-high 20 points in SMU’s victory over ECU, going 9-of-11 from the field. On the week, Whitt went 14-of-19 from the floor, averaging 17.0 points and 4.5 rebounds for the Mustangs.
