Cincinnati, UCF and UConn Collect Weekly Men's Soccer Accolades

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of the league’s weekly men’s soccer honors for the week ending Sunday, Sept. 30.

Offensive Player of the Week
Rex Epps * Jr. * F * Cincinnati

Epps provided most of the Bearcats’ offense on the week, registering seven points consisting of three goals and an assist. In his first game in a Cincinnati uniform, Epps scored twice and assisted on the third goal as Cincinnati defeated IUPUI 3-1. On Saturday, he added to his total, scoring the lone goal to give his team its first conference win, a 1-0 victory over Temple. With the 2-0 week, Epps and the Bearcats snapped a five-game skid.

Defensive Player of the Week
Jacob Hauser-Ramsey * Sr. * D * UConn
Hauser-Ramsey anchored the Husky backline en route to a 2-0 conference shutout of Memphis on Friday. UConn held the Tigers to just four shots on target for the game and received two second-half goals of its own to remain unbeaten at Morrone Stadium. The Huskies are now unbeaten in their last four contests and 1-0-1 in The American.
