UCF's Milton, ECU's Harvey and Verity Are Weekly Football Honorees

PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of the league’s weekly football honors for the fifth week of the college football season.
 
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
McKenzie Milton • UCF • Jr. • QB • Kapolei, Hawaii
Milton, who was also named as the Walter Camp National Offensive Player of the Week, had a hand in six touchdowns for the second consecutive week and finished with 379 yards of total offense to lead UCF to its conference-record 17th straight victory, a 45-14 win against Pitt. Milton completed 18 of 34 passes for 328 yards and four touchdowns and rushed for 51 yards and two more TDs.
 
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Nate Harvey • ECU • Sr. • DE • Knightdale, N.C.
Harvey led an ECU defense that registered nine sacks and 15 tackles for loss in the Pirates’ 37-35 win against Old Dominion. He had six tackles, including 3.0 sacks and 3.5 tackles for loss, to lead a unit that held the Monarchs to 21 rushing yards. Harvey is the national leader in tackles for loss in 2018 (2.8 per game) and is fourth nationally in sacks (1.63 per game).
 
SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Jake Verity • ECU • Jr. • K • Bremen, Ga.
Verity hit the game-winning field goal from 38 yards with 46 seconds remaining to lift ECU to a 37-35 win against Old Dominion. Verity scored seven points on the Monarchs and remained perfect (8-for-8) on field goal attempts this season. He leads The American in kicker scoring at 9.0 points per game.

Completed 20 of 26 passes for 270 yards and two touchdowns and had a rushing TD in a 49-7 win at UConn.

Completed 12 of 20 passes for a career-high 309 yards with two touchdowns and one interception in a 63-27 win against Houston Baptist.
 
Ryquell Armstead • Temple • Jr. • RB
Rushed for 172 yards and four touchdowns on 24 carries in a 45-35 loss at Boston College.
 
Darius Bradwell • Tulane • Jr. • RB
Rushed for 143 yards and two touchdowns on 19 carries in a 40-24 win against Memphis.
