Highlights
 - The American’s cross country teams ran their final regular season races, as the league gears up for the conference championships on October 25 in at Audubon Park New Orleans. Eleven conference programs were in action over the weekend, getting their final tune ups before the start of the postseason. The American’s teams have combined to capture 18 individual and 15 team titles in 2018.

- USF put the finishing touches on its regular season Friday afternoon with a sixth-place finish from its men's team and an eighth-place showing by its women's team at the South Florida Invitational from The Claw at the USF Golf Facility. Also running in the race was UCF, which earned a third place finish. Five Knights finished in the top 35 of the 5K race with Victoria Jung leading the pack.

- In the final race of the regular season, SMU recorded a seventh-place finish at the Arturo Barrios Invitational with Hannah Miller finishing in third place. Taking place at the site of the upcoming NCAA South Central Region meet, the Mustangs faced their final tune up before the postseason at the Dale Watts Cross Country Course. Miller, the 2017 American champion, recorded the fourth fastest 6K in program history, running a 20:14.1. Miller has finished top five in each of her races run this year.

- Freshman Jemal Wote crossed the line first for the Cougar men at the Santa Clara Bronco Invitational. Meredith Sorensen led the way for women’s team for the third-consecutive meet. Sorensen finished inside the top-40 after running through the chute in 21:17.4 to place 37th.

- Tulane competed against some of the best teams in the nation on Saturday with Emmanuel Rotich having a top-40 showing in the men's White Race at the Wisconsin Pre-National meet. Rotich, the 2017 American champion, came in 39th place in the 8K race, crossing the finish line in 24:29.10. Mckenzie Melius was the top finish for the women.

- Wichita State also sent its teams to Wisconsin for the Pre-National meet. Winny Koskei highlighted the day for the program finishing 11th overall in the women's Cardinal 6K race with a personal best time of 20:28.9.  In a field of 234 athletes from 35 teams, the sophomore led the Shockers to a 19th place victory. Clayton Duchatschek was the top finisher for the Shocker men. Wichita State also sent eight athletes, including four men and four women to compete at the Fort Hays State Tiger Open.

- Cincinnati competed in the Bradley Pink Classic Friday afternoon in Peoria, Ill., battling a large group of runners along with snow flurries and muddy conditions as the day progressed. Aaron Bienenfeld and Andrew Schille placed fourth and sixth, respectively, for the men while all eight women that finished their race posted personal best times on the day.

- Nick Ciaccia won the men's individual title and ECU claimed second place in both the men's and women's races at the Pirate Invitational Friday evening at Overton's Lake Kristi in Grimesland. Ciaccia ran an 8K time of 24:34.46 which is tied for the 10th fastest in school history. On the women's side, freshman Anna Bristle was the top Pirate finisher as she ran a 6K time of 21:27.16 for a fifth-place result and the 12th-fastest mark in program history.

- The UConn men’s team turned in a fourth place finish at the Princeton Invitational Friday afternoon. The Huskies came in with a pair of runners in the top-20 to finish fourth in a field of 20 teams. Patrick Begley was the Huskies top-finisher by coming home eighth overall in the field of 218 runners. UConn's women’s team placed in the top-15 teams with 410 points.

-  Temple’s Kristian Jensen crossed the line first for the Cherry and White at the Princeton Invitational with a time of 24:08.7, clocking the fastest 8K in program history and earn fourth place overall. The Owls’ women’s squad finished third overall out of 22 teams. For the second straight week, junior Kira Von Ehren was the top performer for the Owls, finishing 16th with a time of 21:40.1.

-  Memphis' Matthew Kamph and Paige Sandwell led the Tigers men's and women's cross country squads at UAB's Blazer Classic Friday morning. Kamph and Sandwell were the first Tigers to cross the finish line in the men's and women's races, respectively.
