Highlights
- The UConn women's swimming and diving team defeated Army 158-142 on Saturday afternoon at Crandall Pool, while the team lost to the Black Knights 199-95. Senior Jackie Van Lew won the 100 and 200 freestyle events which was a theme for the Huskies. UConn won every freestyle event with Brazil Rule taking the top spot in the 50 and Ryan Dulaney earning a pair of wins in the 500 and 1000.
Senior captain Monica Marcello continued her great start to the year by winning the 1M and 3M dives. The Huskies dominated the 200 IM by sweeping the podium. For the men, junior Will Kearsey won the 100 Back (48.88) and secured a runner-up finish in the 200 Back (45.58).

- ECU’s men’s and women’s teams posted their fifth-straight dual meet sweep of UNCW Saturday at Seahawk Natatorium. The ECU women's team registered a 173-127 decision to improve to 2-1 and earn their 13th consecutive win over the Seahawks. The men's squad also improved to 2-1 this season with a 172.5-120.5 victory for their fifth straight series win. Victoria Gillet, Catherine Johnson, Shannon Stott, Mariana Vignoli and Lily West were multi-event winners for the ladies' team.

Freshman Marek Osina won three events to pace the men's team. He claimed the 200 butterfly (1:52.66), 200 backstroke (1:50.28) and 400 individual medley (3:59.78). He also swam leadoff for the victorious 200 medley relay team (1:31.58) joined by Jacek Arentewicz, Gustavo Santos and Gavin Erdmann.

- SMU’s men's team opened the season going 1-1 in dual action against LSU and Loyola New Orleans on Saturday in Baton Rouge, La. The Mustangs defeated Loyola, who is ranked No. 5 in the NAIA Top 10 Poll, 227-40, but fell to the host Tigers, 186-101. LSU is currently receiving a vote in the CSCAA TYR Top 25 Poll. SMU picked up victories from freshman Ridge Livermore in the 200-yard freestyle (1:41.38) and Connor Dalbo (2:02.37) in the 200-yard breaststroke.

- Tulane defeated Loyola New Orleans 250-40 to pick up its first win of the year Friday night at the Reily Student Recreation Center Natatorium. In their matchup with LSU, the Green Wave, fell 187-108. Junior Olivia Johnson continued her strong start to the 2018-19 season as she captured a pair of races, winning the 500 (4:56.02) and 1,000 yard (10:04.30) freestyle events.
