USF competes at the Disney Cross Country Classic

Highlights
The USF cross country team was the first American program to open competition during the month of October on Saturday at the Disney Cross Country Classic with a sixth-place finish from its women's team and a seventh-place showing by its men's team.

Rania Samhouri paced USF for the second time this season on her way to placing 19th overall with a time of 19:10.4. Annie Allmark followed in 40th place after crossing the finish line in a time of 19:44.7.

On the men's side sophomore Evan Babatz placed 24th and was the top finisher for USF for the second consecutive meet following a time of 26:53.1. Freshman Danny Ferro turned in a 36th-place showing with his time of 27:29.9 to take second for the Bulls. 

The American cross country teams will be back in action next weekend for their final regular season meets before the conference championships on Thursday, October 25 at the Golf Club at Audubon Park in New Orleans.
