PROVIDENCE, R.I. – ESPN announced Sunday that College GameDay Built by The Home Depot will originate from the UCF this weekend for the key American Athletic Conference East Division matchup between a 9-1 Cincinnati team and 9-0 UCF.

The Cincinnati-UCF game has been chosen as ABC’s Saturday Night Football matchup. The game is scheduled for 8 p.m. ET and will be televised nationally on ABC.

Live programming from Orlando, Florida, including SportsCenter and College Football Live will occur through the day Friday, Nov. 16, leading into the 9 a.m. ET start time of College GameDay Saturday.



Today’s selection marks the first time that UCF has been selected to host College GameDay. It is the fourth time that ESPN’s signature college football show has been centered on a game involving an American Athletic Conference team since the conference’s formation in 2013 and the first time that an American conference game has served as the centerpiece. The show was based in Philadelphia Oct. 31, 2015, when Temple hosted Notre Dame, has been onsite for the annual Army-Navy game in each of the last three years, and will be in Philadelphia in December for this year’s edition of America’s Game.

American Athletic Conference schools have made a combined 13 appearances on College GameDay since the show’s introduction in 1993. Saturday’s production will be the second appearance for UCF and the first for Cincinnati. It will be the 358th show to originate from a road location.

UCF is the 71st school to host College GameDay, and Orlando will be the 83rd city to host the program. Venerable host Lee Corso will close the show by donning the mascot head of either the Cincinnati Bearcat or Knightro for the first time. It will be the 58th different mascot head (323rd overall) for Corso.
