PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of the league’s weekly football honors for the 12th week of the college football season.
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Holton Ahlers • ECU • Fr. • QB • Greenville, N.C.
Ahlers figured in five touchdowns and amassed 372 yards of total offense in ECU’s 55-21 win against UConn. Ahlers completed 22 of 31 passes for 242 yards and four touchdowns, while he added a career-high 130 rushing yards with a touchdown on 12 carries, becoming the first ECU quarterback since David Garrard in 2000 to rush for at least 100 yards.
DEFENSIVE PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
Titus Davis • UCF • Sr. • DE • Atlanta, Ga.
Davis led a UCF defense that limited No. 19 Cincinnati to one offensive touchdown in the Knights’ 38-13 win, clinching The American’s East Division title for the second straight year. Davis finished with five tackles, including 3.0 sacks, 4.0 tackles for loss and a forced fumble.
Nate Harvey • ECU • Sr. • DE • Knightdale, N.C.
Harvey had five tackles with 3.0 sacks, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery in ECU’s 55-21 win against UConn as the Pirates held the Huskies scoreless on their final nine possessions. Harvey’s 3.0 tackles for loss give him an American Athletic Conference-record 24.0 for the season, breaking the mark of 23.0 set by Houston’s Ed Oliver last season.
SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Wright had 117 all-purpose yards, with all but three yards coming on special teams, to help Tempe to a 27-17 win against USF. Wright’s 73-yard punt return for a touchdown in the fourth quarter gave the Owls their first lead of the game.
