Highlights
- Tulane had nine different individuals earn victories, as it won 14 of the 16 events to win 210-90 in a dual meet at Georgia Southern. Senior Paris Zhang highlighted competition for the Green Wave as she claimed the 100 and 200 backstroke races and swam on both the 200 medley relay and the 200 freestyle relay. Zhang won the 100 backstroke in a time of 56.21 and the 200 backstroke in a performance of 2:04.91.
- SMU’s women’s team defeated TCU, 196-103, and Iowa State, 184-114, on Friday evening at the Robson & Lindley Aquatics Center and Barr-McMillion Natatorium. With the double-dual sweep, the Mustangs improve to 3-1 in dual action this season. SMU won both relays on the night with Gabi Grobler, Andrea Podmanikova, Erin Trahan and Felicity Passon clocking a season-best 1:42.76 in the 200 medley relay, and Passon, Olivia Grossklaus, Sam Smith and Madison Kinsey finishing the night in dramatic fashion, narrowly out-touching Iowa State at the wall in 3:28.91 for the 400 free relay win.
Grobler had three individual wins to lead the Mustangs to victory, winning the 100- and 200-yard backstrokes and the 200-yard individual medley.
- For the third consecutive season, the SMU men's team defeated Metroplex rival TCU with a 181-104 victory. The Mustang men are 2-1 in dual meets this year. Parker Hardigree swept diving events posting an NCAA Zone qualifying score on 1 meter with a 308.00. The freshman also won the 3-meter competition with a six-round 313.75. SMU's relays posted season-best times for the win in both the 200-yard medley relay and 400-yard freestyle relay. Trey Kilbride, Aedan Lewis, Simon Golczyk and Ralph Koo were victorious in the medley (1:31.08), while Jesse Washington, Matthew Nutter, Koo and Lucas Schenke won the 400 free relay in 3:03.15.
- ECU men's team won 14 of 14 events and improved to 3-1 as the Pirates defeated Lenoir Rhyne, 154-97, Saturday afternoon at the Johnson Natatorium. Freshman Marek Osina claimed three individual victories and freshman Ethan Knorr collected two. The ECU women's swimming and diving team earned a split in its tri-meet with Lenoir-Rhyne and host Campbell, defeating LRC 173-85 and losing to the Camels 140-121 as the Pirates improved to 3-2 overall. Junior Lily West earned a trio of first-place finishes and junior Catherine Johnson swept the sprint freestyle events.
