All-America Roundup: Players From The American Among the Nation's Best

With the 2018 college football regular season complete, major national outlets have begun to announce their respective All-America teams.

The American is well-represented on the national stage. Memphis running back Darrell Henderson has been chosen as a first team All-America selection by every major national outlet thus far, securing his place as a unanimous NCAA Consensus All-America. It will mark the second straight season in which Memphis has had a Consensus All-America selection after Anthony Miller was chosen to last year's team.

Among the other American Athletic Conference players receiving All-America nods thus far are Houston defensive tackle Ed Oliver, Temple return specialist Isaiah Wright and Cincinnati punter James Smith.

Oliver was chosen to the second team of the American Football Coaches Association All-America team, joining Clemson's Christian Wilkins (2016-18) and Georgia's Herschel Walker (1980-82) as the only players in FBS history to be an AFCA All-America in three consecutive seasons.
