KANSAS CITY, Mo. (March 13, 2018) -- The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) announced today the 2017-18 NABC Division I All-District teams. Selected and voted on by member coaches of the NABC in NCAA Division I, these student-athletes represent the finest basketball players across America.
The District 25 team was comprised of 10 players from the American Athletic Conference, with the selections mirroring those of the first and second team all-conference picks in The American.
Cincinnati's duo of Gary Clark and Jacob Evans III were both first team picks. The pair helped the No. 6-ranked Bearcats to The American regular-season and tournament championships. No. 16 Wichita State placed Landry Shamet and Shaquille Morris on the District 25 first team; Shamet and Morris helped the Shockers to a tie for second in The American and a No. 4 seed in the NCAA Tournament. Houston's Rob Gray helped the Cougars reach The American championship game after a 14-4 conference season. The No. 21-ranked Coogs head into the NCAA Tournament as a No. 6 seed.
The District 25 second team covers five different teams, including UConn guard Jalen Adams, senior Junior Etou of Tulsa, Tulane guard Melvin Frazier, Memphis guard Jeremiah Martin and SMU’s Shake Milton rounding out the quintet.
