WICHITA, KAN. – Wichita State’s Kaden Griffin holds the nation’s top mark in the decathlon this year with a personal best score of 6.851 after competing at the Wichita State Multi on Wednesday and Thursday. Teammate Colin Reichenberger finished fourth in the meet and ranks seventh in the country after scoring 6,399.
In the final two events Griffin placed in the top five to propel him to the top, including a fifth place finish in the javelin (49.03m/160-10.5) and a first place finish in the 1500m with a personal best time of 4:35.70.
