MINNEAPOLIS (SMUMustangs.com) – SMU diver Bryce Klein earned All-America honors in the three-meter dive at the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships on Friday to close out a standout career.

Klein placed eighth in the event's Consolation Final, which featured divers in places 9-16 following the morning's qualification round, with a final score of 354.30. The senior used a 374.40, which included a 71.40 on his final dive, to secure his position in the afternoon's final in 16th place.

The top eight scorers in the evening's final earn first-team All-America honors, while the Consolation Final solidifies honorable mention accolades.

Klein also competed in the one-meter dive at the Championships, but did not qualify for finals.

In addition to All-America honors, Klein finishes his career a two-time NCAA qualifier, four-time NCAA Zones qualifier, six-time American Athletic Conference champion and a 10-time all-conference selection. He holds both the SMU and The American records on 1-and 3-meter.
