Memphis’ Trosclair Klatt, UCF’s White Collect Weekly Softball Honors

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of the league’s weekly softball honors for the week of Feb. 26-March 4.
 
AMERICAN ATHLETIC CONFERENCE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Klyer Trosclair Klatt · Sr. · INF · Memphis
Trosclair Klatt had the most productive weekend of her career at the Blues City Classic. She finished the weekend with a 10-for-15 effort from the plate with a double and three triples. She now has seven triples this season which is just two shy of matching the program record for triples in a year. In the final three games this weekend, she recorded three hits in each game and she has now extended her hitting streak to a team-high eight games. Against Bradley and UMKC, Trosclair Klatt recorded a career-high four RBIs in each game, topping her previous mark of two set during her junior campaign. She also scored four runs for the Tigers including two against UL Monroe.

AMERICAN ATHLETIC CONFERENCE PITCHER OF THE WEEK
Alea White · So. · RHP · UCF
White pitched two of the four games for the Knights in their trip to San Diego posting a 0.98 ERA tossing two complete games. She threw 14.1 innings collecting 12 strikeouts and allowing only two runs. She threw a shutout against No. 22 Long Beach State giving up only five hits and walking two batters. With the two wins, White is now 8-5 on the season.
 
WEEKLY HONOR ROLL
Shelby Estocado · Sr. · INF · Tulsa
Estocado hit .579 with two homers, three doubles and six RBI last week as Tulsa went a perfect 5-0 at the North Texas Invitational. Estocado recorded at least one hit in each game to extend her hitting streak to 11 games and she had multiple hits in four of the five contests. She also recorded a .619 on-base percentage and a 1.053 slugging percentage.
 
Arielle James · So. · INF · Houston
James hit .462 (6-for-13) last week with three RBI and a home run while scoring four runs as Houston posted a 4-0 week.
 
Bailey Lange · Jr. · LHP · Wichita State
Lange tallied a pair of wins for the Shockers last week over Nebraska, striking out 12 total batters over 12.0 innings of work. She allowed just one extra-base hit in her two appearances, and held Nebraska to only two hits in Sunday’s win. Lange helped her own cause on Sunday as well, driving in two runs in the Wichita State victory.
 
Brooke Hartman · So. · INF · USF
Hartman hit .667 over five games last week and had a slugging percentage of 1.167. She hit two home runs and one double with five RBI and seven hits. She forced three walks and went 3-for-3 against Penn on Sunday afternoon. She also was instrumental in three comebacks for the Bulls as USF finished the week with four wins.
 
Presley Bell · Jr. · RHP · Houston
Bell did not allow a run in two appearances last week, including a complete game shutout against Texas A&M Corpus Christi where she carried a perfect game into the sixth inning and recorded a career-high six strikeouts in the win. Bell allowed only two total hits over her appearances.
