- After its teams won four series last week, The American holds a .600 (57-38) winning percentage over nonconference opponents, which is the fifth-best among the 31 Division I conferences. The league prepares for a busy 41-game week, including two top-25 opponents.
- UCF (8-3) has won seven straight games and two series in a row heading into its midweek match-up against No. 1 Florida. The Knights average a conference-best 2.20 ERA, which ranks 13th in the nation. Starters Joe Sheridan and JJ Montgomery have combined for 15.4 shutout innings this season. 1B Rylan Thomas is tied for 20 in the nation with Wichita State's 3B Alec Bohm with a league-high 17 RBIs.
- Wichita State (8-1) has had a strong start to the season and came in at No. 22 on Collegiate Baseball's national poll this week after a 2-1 series win over Nebraska. Wichita State has won each of its series, averaging a conference-best 7.7 runs per game and a .490 slugging percentage. The Shockers have belted the 15th-most home runs in the nation, as Bohm has accounted for five of them, including three grand slams this year. The Shockers will host SIU Edwardsville on Tuesday.
- USF (7-5) has won two consecutive series and leads the conference with 120 hits this season. No team in the nation has hit more doubles than the Bulls who have collected 39 this year with reigning conference Player of the Week 3B David Villar accounting for seven of them. His seven doubles are fifth in the nation, as he recorded six last week. USF will head to Jacksonville on Wednesday before taking on Central Michigan in a three-game series.
- ECU (8-3) cracked the top-25 on three national polls this week with the highest ranking coming from D1Baseball at No. 19. The Pirates ended the weekend with a 9-0 win over Saint Joseph's and are batting .301 to lead the conference this year. ECU closes out its six-game home stand this week playing host to College of Charleston in a two-game midweek series.
