Highlights
- Cincinnati closed out its time at the War Eagle Invitational Saturday afternoon with three more all-time Top 10 marks recorded on the final day of competition at Hutsell-Rosen Track on the Auburn campus.
- UConn competed at the Larry Ellis Invitational at Weaver Stadium on the campus of Princeton University this weekend. Trentan Beram (Hopewell Junction, N.Y.) captured gold in the 200 meters on Saturday, clocking in at 21.17 seconds, a slight tick off his season best time of 21.14 seconds recorded last weekend.
- Houston wrapped weekend competitions with another record-setting performance on Saturday at the Mt. SAC Relays and J. Fred Duckett Twilight Invitational. Kahmari Montgomery turned in a record-setting performance in just his second outdoor 400-meter dash of the season. Brian Barraza capped the second day of the Mt. SAC Relays with a record-setting performance.
- Memphis' Luke Vaughn and Rafael Vallery placed first and second, respectively, in the men's shot put to pace the Tigers at the Mt. SAC Relays Friday. Mona Jaidi re-set the women's discus school record for the third time this season to highlight Saturday action for the Tigers at the Red Wolves Invitational.
- USF had a successful day in Houston at the J. Fred Duckett Twilight Meet hosted by Rice University, winning five different events on Saturday. The Bulls also had eight other top three finishes in their first twilight meet of the outdoor season.
- Tulane juniors Mckenzie Melius and Jessica Duckett rewrote the history book this weekend, as each set new school records in the women's 3000m steeplechase and women's 100m hurdles, respectively, to headline the team's split squad weekend. Melius and junior Emmanuel Rotich were in Torrance, California, on Thursday and Friday for the Mt. SAC Relays while the rest of the squad competed in the LSU Alumni Gold on Saturday.
- Wichita State dominated the Mule Relays winning a total of 16 events, including nine on the men's team and seven from the women's team.
- SMU reshman Atipa Mabonga found her stride on Thursday, winning her first collegiate triple jump at the Pacific Coast Invitational hosted by Long Beach State. The jump of 12.48m marked a season best for Mabonga. Distance runners Anneke Grogan, Hannah Miller, Svenja Ojstersek and Alison Esparza led the way for the Mustangs on Thursday and Friday at the Mt. SAC Relays with each breaking personal records at the West Coast meet. Up against top NCAA and professional athletes, Latessa Johnson earned a podium finish in her 200-meter section, taking second place.
- Temple returned to Philadelphia with four first-place finishes, three top-three finishes, and several personal bests after sending Owls to both the Virginia Classic and the Widener Invitational. Freshman Sydney Williams earned two individual titles on Saturday while freshmen Mallorie Smith and Kayla Nesbitt McEwen each secured one in their respective events.
- Gabby Durant added her name to the UCF record books in the first event of the weekend. The redshirt junior set the hammer throw record at 200-6/61.12m with her fifth attempt of the day, finishing fourth overall at the meet. UCF closed out the War Eagle Invitational with another strong performance Saturday
