PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The American Athletic Conference has announced the women’s basketball scheduling model and pairings for the 2018-19 season.
The upcoming schedule will reflect the model implemented prior to last season with the addition of Wichita State. Each team will play five of its 11 conference opponents twice and six opponents once – three at home and three on the road.
All 12 teams will compete in the 2019 American Athletic Conference Women’s Basketball Championship at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn. The Championship will return to a Friday-Monday schedule, with the dates set for March 8-11, 2019.
Five American teams – UCF, Cincinnati, UConn, Houston, and USF - reached the postseason in 2017-18, highlighted by UConn reaching its 11
th-consecutive Final Four.
The complete 2018-19 women’s basketball composite schedule with dates and times will be announced in late August.
