The Tulsa men's soccer team tied #7 Michigan State, 0-0, in double-overtime on Sunday afternoon at Demartin Stadium in East Lansing, Mich.  TU moved to 1-0-1 on the season, while MSU also moved to 1-0-1 overall.

Munashe Raranje had a team-leading three shots, while Miguel Velasquez and Juan Sanchez each added two attempts and five others had one shot. Cooper Clark logged all 110 minutes in goal and picked up five saves for the shutout.

The Spartans had a 13-12 lead in shots, including a 5-4 edge in shots on goal, and a 12-1 advantage in corner kicks.

Memphis 2, Saint Louis 1
Memphis men's soccer team picked up their first win of the season, defeating the hosting Saint Louis Billikens 2-1 on Sunday night.

In the 22nd minute, Gurman Sangha received a ball inside the box, but his shot was blocked. In the ensuing loose ball situation, Peyton McKnatt secured possession for himself, lined up a shot, and blasted it past the keeper, claiming a first-half lead for the Tigers.

Five minutes after the goal, the Tigers found themselves knocking on the door of another goal, as senior midfielder David Zalzman lined up a corner kick. Though the initial attack was stopped, Memphis kept the ball in their attacking half, never allowing Saint Louis to recover or threaten with offense of its own.

Three minutes later, Artur De Luca found McKnatt in the box, who put away his second goal of the first half. McKnatt became the first Tiger to have a multi-goal game since Jackson Morse scored twice against UConn in 2016.

UConn 1, Niagara 0
Like so many times before on Sunday night, when the UConn men's soccer team needed a goal, it turned to senior forward Abdou Mbacke Thiam – cashing in on a 70th-minute penalty kick to give the Huskies a 1-0 victory over Niagara at Joseph J. Morrone Stadium.

The Huskies attacked early and often, dominating the flow of the game and time of possession. By the final whistle, UConn recorded a 15-2 shots advantage and 11-2 edge in corner kicks over the Purple Eagles.

Despite numerous opportunities throughout the contest, it wasn't until redshirt junior Dayonn Harris was taken down in the box in the 70th minute that the Huskies found their opening with a penalty kick attempt.

SMU 4, Campbell 0
SMU junior defender Eddie Munjoma netted the first two goals of his career to help the No. 8 Mustangs defeat Campbell 4-0 Sunday night. The McKinney, Texas product was one of three Ponies to find the back of the net at Westcott field and move SMU to 1-1-0 on the season.

Munjoma's first goal, coming during the 14th minute, got the scoring started for the Mustangs as he cleaned up on a rebound created by Talen Maples and DJ Williams Jr.

Maples would follow with a goal of his own, a header that was setup from an Emil Cuello corner kick, in the 18th minute and Garrett McLaughlin would notch his first goal of the 2018 season when he controlled a free kick, also a Cuello helper, before putting it past the Camels' goalkeeper.

SMU would lead 3-0 at the half and Munjoma's second goal, a header fashioned on a Nicky Hernandez loft, would be the final tally of the night on the Hilltop.

UC was dealt another blow in the 41st minute when it was whistled for a foul in the box which the Panthers subsequently converted into a penalty-kick score. Unable to cash in on multiple chances in the second half, the Red & Black ultimately could not recover from its deficit as it dropped a 2-0 decision.

The Bearcats tallied nine shots in the second half including tries on goal by redshirt juniors Mohamed Elmardi and Elias Helbig, as well as from sophomores Darryn Commissiong and Ryan Melink. For the night UC and EIU were even in corner kicks with five apiece.

UC Irvine 1, UCF 0 (OT)
After a back-and-forth battle and numerous opportunities for both sides, the Knights fell to UC Irvine, 1-0 Monday evening at the UCF Soccer Complex in their second consecutive overtime match.

The Knights dominated the ball offensively in the first half tallying nine shots. Gorka Aperribay nearly put the Knights ahead after a header off the crossbar followed by a header from Noah Murphy that missed just high.

The defense was just as good in the first half holding the Anteaters to just three shots and no corners.

UCF falls even to 1-1, while the Anteaters grab their first win of the season and move to 1-0-1.

Michigan 2, USF 0
USF dropped a 2-0 decision at No. 21 Michigan on Monday night at U-M Soccer Stadium, while playing with just 10 men due to the ejection of Henrique Gallina in the first half.

Junior goalkeeper Harrison Devenish-Meares was a bright spot on the night for the Bulls, racking up a career-high six saves in the intense matchup against the Wolverines.

Michigan's first-half goal came on a free kick from Mohammed Zakyi just outside the 18-yard box following a yellow card. The Bulls had four shots in the first half and keeper Devenish-Mears already tallied three saves on the night.

The turmoil came for the Bulls when Gallina was shown a second yellow card and ejected from the game 42 minutes in, leaving USF to play with 10 men the rest of the way. In the second half, Michigan's Robbie Mertz put away the game with a goal from the left side, finalizing the fate for USF.
