Houston's King, Navy's Williams, USF's Horne Take Weekly Football Honors

PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of the league’s weekly football honors for the second week of the college football season.
 
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
D’Eriq King • Houston • Jr. • QB • Manvel, Texas

King figured in six touchdowns (four passing, two rushing) in Houston’s 45-18 win against Arizona. He was 17 of 34 for 246 yards and added 31 rushing yards on five carries, helping Houston race to a 38-0 lead on its way to the win.
 
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Sean Williams • Navy • Sr. • S • Memphis, Tenn.

Williams had a team-high nine tackles and two forced fumbles to lead Navy to a 22-21 win against Memphis. Williams led a Navy defense that forced four Memphis turnovers and kept the Tigers off the scoreboard in the fourth quarter.
 
SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
Terrence Horne Jr. • USF • Fr. • WR • Miramar, Fla.

Horne became the first player in American Athletic Conference history to have two kickoff returns for touchdowns in a game as he helped USF to a 49-38 win against Georgia Tech. Horne finished with a conference-record 264 yards on five kickoff returns.

Had five tackles, 2.0 tackles for loss, a forced fumble and a pass breakup in a 21-0 win against Miami (Ohio).

Had a team-high nine tackles with two pass breakups in a 41-19 win against North Carolina.
 
Darrell Henderson • Memphis • Jr. • RB
Rushed for 212 yards and three touchdowns on 13 carries, averaging 16.3 yards per attempt, in a 22-21 loss at Navy.
 
Malcolm Perry • Navy • Jr. • QB
Rushed for 166 yards and two touchdowns on 36 carries in a 22-21 win against Memphis.
 
Blake Barnett • USF • Jr. • QB
Threw for 202 yards and two touchdowns and rushed for 91 yards and two fourth-quarter TDs in a 49-38 win against Georgia Tech.
