PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of the league’s weekly football honors for the third week of the college football season.
OFFENSIVE PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
Darrell Henderson • Memphis • Jr. • RB • Batesville, Miss.
Henderson rushed for 232 yards, including touchdown runs of 54 and 61 yards, in Memphis’ 59-22 win against Georgia State. Henderson had his second straight 200-yard game and enters this week as the national leader in rushing yards.
Blake Barnett • USF • Jr. • QB • Corona, Calif.
Barnett engineered USF’s come-from-behind win against Illinois as he threw two fourth-quarter touchdown passes as part of a 411-yard performance that ranks second on the school’s single-game chart. His 50-yard touchdown pass with 2:24 left capped USF’s 18-point run to end the game.
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Michael Dogbe • Temple • Sr. • DT • Morris Plains, N.J.
Dogbe led a Temple defense that carried the Owls to a 35-14 win against previously unbeaten Maryland. Dogbe had seven tackles, 2.5 sacks, 3.5 tackles for loss and two forced fumbles as the Owls held Maryland’s offense without a touchdown.
SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
Bennett Moehring • Navy • Sr. • K • Bentonville, Ark.
Moehring scored 15 points – the most by an American Athletic Conference kicker this season – to help Navy to a 51-21 win against Lehigh. Moehring went 3-for-3 on field goals, connecting from 29, 37 and 45 yards, and was 6-for-6 on PATs.

Completed 9 of 10 passes for 199 yards and three touchdowns with one rushing TD in a 63-7 win against Alabama A&M.

Threw for 308 yards and four touchdowns and rushed for 137 yards and two TDs in a 56-49 win against Rhode Island.
D’Eriq King • Houston • Jr. • QB
Completed 30 of 51 passes for 431 yards and five touchdowns and added a rushing TD in a 63-49 loss at Texas Tech.
Malcolm Perry • Navy • Jr. • QB
Rushed for 223 yards and three touchdowns in a 52-21 win against Lehigh.
James Proche • SMU • WR
Had a career-high 11 receptions for 166 yards and two touchdowns in a 45-20 loss at No. 16 Michigan.
