PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of the league’s weekly men’s soccer honors for the week ending Sunday, Sept. 16.
Offensive Player of the Week
Cal Jennings * Jr. * F * UCF
Jennings exploded for five goals and an assist in UCF’s two games last week, as the Knights have now won three-straight. He assisted on UCF’s first goal against Florida International on Tuesday, before scoring twice in the second half to secure the 3-1 win. Jennings then completed his second hat trick of the season on Saturday, finding the back of the net twice in less than two minutes as time expired against Stetson, seizing a 4-2 victory. With nine goals and 20 points on the season, Jennings leads The American and ranks in the top-five nationally.
Defensive Player of the Week
Jacob Hauser-Ramsey * Sr. * D * UConn
Hauser-Ramsey backstopped UConn through 105 minutes on Saturday, assisting twice in the Huskies 3-2 double-overtime victory over Loyola Maryland. The senior found teammate Abdou Mbacke Thiam twice for goals, including the golden goal in the second overtime. The Huskies held Loyola to just four shots on target and remain undefeated at Morrone Stadium this season.
Goalkeeper of the Week
Tyler Hofmann * Jr. * Memphis
Hofmann notched his third shutout of the season on Saturday, turning aside three shots in 80 minutes as Memphis dominated Belmont for a 3-0 win. The junior transfer from Dallas Baptist leads The American through four weeks in goals against average (0.78) and save percentage (.800).

Scored his first goal of the season on a header against Florida International and anchored the UCF defense to two wins, permitting just three goals last week

Netted all three goals for the Huskies as UConn fended off Loyola Maryland 3-2 in double overtime on Saturday

Finished the week with four points, including a goal and an assist in a 2-0 win over Gonzaga and an assist against Houston Baptist
