UCF 1, ECU 0

UCF traveled to Greenville, N.C., and picked up a road win over East Carolina, 1-0. The Knights moved up to third in The American standings at 4-1-2 in league play (9-2-4 overall). ECU fell to 5-9-2 on the season and 2-4-1 in conference action.

Kristen Scott scored in the 57th minute off an assist from Mollie Rouse. Caroline DeLisle earned the shutout for the Knights, recording two saves.

USF 1, Cincinnati 0

USF used an early goal from Evelyne Viens and held on to defeat Cincinnati, 1-0. With the win, the Bulls improved to 11-3-0 on the season and 6-1-0 in conference play, while the Bearcats are 6-8-2 overall and 4-3-0 in league action. With a win on Sunday at ECU, the Bulls would clinch a bye for The American Championship.

Viens scored in the third minute for her conference-record 63rd career goal. Sydney Martinez earned her second straight shutout for the Bulls, making two saves.

SMU 3, Tulsa 0

SMU moved into the top six in the conference standings with its second straight win, a 3-0 victory at Tulsa. The Mustangs are now 3-4-0 in American play and 10-5-1 overall. Tulsa dropped to 8-9-0 on the season and 2-5-0 in league play.

Allie Thornton opened the scoring in the 27th minute off an assist by Courtney Sebazco. Wayny Balata and Hannah Allred provided insurance goals less than three minutes apart in the 75th and 77th minutes, respectively. 

Memphis 4, Houston 1

After giving up the first goal, Memphis scored four unanswered to defeat Houston, 4-1. Memphis leads The American at 6-0-1 (14-1-1 overall), while Houston fell to 5-12-0 overall and 2-5-0 in conference play. With a win Sunday against SMU, The Tigers would wrap up a bye for the conference championship.

Hayley Hubbard struck first for Houston 24 minutes into the match, but Tanya Boychuk tied the game in the 39th minute. Second-half goals from Stasia Mallin (54th minute), Mya Jones (60th minute) and Clarissa Larisey (86th minute) sealed the match for the Tigers.
