Six American Women's Basketball Players Tabbed to Starting Five Watch Lists

Six American Athletic Conference women's basketball players from three different teams were named to preseason starting five Watch Lists by the Basketball Hall of Fame and Women's Basketball Coaches Association this week.

Each watch list consists of 20 of the nation's best players at their respective position. The selection committees for each awars is made up of top women’s college basketball personnel including media members, head coaches, sports information directors and Hall of Famers. New to the award this season is Fan Voting presented by Dell Technologies in each of the three rounds. By mid-February, the watch lists of 20 players will be narrowed to just 10. In March, five finalists will be presented to the Hall of Fame’s selection committee.

The starting five award winners will be announced at The College Basketball Awards presented by Wendy’s in Los Angeles, Calif. on Friday, April 10, 2020. Fans can vote for their selections online at hoophallawards.com.
