Florida's Ronbeck Named to Tewaaraton Award Top-25 List

GAINESVILLE, Fla. (FloridaGators.com) – Senior attacker Lindsey Ronbeck was named as a Tewaaraton Top-25 Nominee, as announced by the Tewaaraton Foundation on Thursday afternoon.
 
This is the second such honor of Ronbeck’s career, as she earned a spot on the Top-25 a season ago. Ronbeck was also named to the Watch List in 2017.
 
Overall, the Gators have had 12 Top-25 nominations stemming from nine Gators in the 10-year history of Florida lacrosse. 
 
The Tewaaraton Award annually honors the top male and female college lacrosse player in the United State. The selection committees are made up of premier collegiate coaches and are appointed annually by the Tewaaraton Foundation.  

Five finalists will be announced on May 9, with the Tewaaraton Ceremony set for May 30 in Washington, DC.

Ronbeck’s Profile:
  • Ronbeck has appeared in 74 games as a Gator, starting each of them
  • She has racked up 287 points on 221 goals and 66 assists
    • Ronbeck is just the third Gator to reach the 200-goal milestone and she is the second-fastest to reach the mark, doing so in 70 games
    • The senior currently sits second all-time at 212 goals
  •  Ronbeck is also on pace to hit 300 career points before the end of the season – sits at 287 currently
    • She would be just the second Gator to hit that milestone
  • Among active Division I players, Ronbeck sits third in goals and fifth in points
  • She has notched 12 hat tricks this season, including two games in which she scored eight goals
    • That not only marks her career-best, but also the program-high for a single game
  • The senior is ranked in the Top-10 nationally in six different categories, five of which she is ranked fourth
  • She is also ranked in the Top-5 in the conference in nine categories, five of which she leads
  • Ronbeck is in the Top-10 in Florida’s program history in 13 different career record categories
