PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The American Athletic Conference will have nine men’s basketball student-athletes in Minneapolis, Minn., as part of the events surrounding the 2019 NCAA Final Four. UCF, Houston, ECU, Memphis, Tulane and Tulsa will all be represented later this week.
American players will take part in the Reese’s College All-Star Game, State Farm College Slam Dunk and 3-Point Championships and Dos Equis 3X3U National Championship.
Houston’s Corey Davis, Jr. and Galen Robinson, Jr., along with Temple’s Shizz Alston, Jr., will all play together as part of the West All-Stars in the
2019 Reese’s College All-Star Game. The team will be coached by Jason Terry as he takes his team up against Nate Robinson’s East All-Star squad. The game tips off on Friday, April 5 at 4:30 p.m. ET, inside US Bank Stadium and can be seen
live on CBS Sports Network.

The American also boasts three competitors in
the 2019 State Farm College Slam Dunk & 3-Point Championships on Thursday, April 4 at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN. Houston’s Davis will be joined by UCF’s B.J. Taylor in the State Farm 3-point Championship inside the Target Center. Tulsa’s DaQuan Jeffries will compete in the Great Clips Slam Dunk Championship with Minnesota Timberwolves Derrick Rose, Taj Gibson and Robert Covington and Minnesota Viking Dalvin Cook serving as judges.
Four American players will team up as part of the
Dos Equis 3X3U National Championship. The three-day event beings on Friday, April 5 at 4:20 ET. Memphis’ Jeremiah Martin and Kyvon Davenport join up with ECU’s Isaac Fleming and Tulane’s Jordan Cornish to take on teams from 32 other Division I conferences. All games will be carried live on Twitter or ESPN2. Teams have been assigned into eight pools of four, guaranteed three games with $1,000 for each victory. The top two teams in each pool advance to Sunday’s knockout round with the champion of the tournament taking home $100,000.
